On mothers day I want to send a little reminder…

I am the girl that is friends with a mother, who is scared for her teenage daughter because the doctors told her when it could come to an end. I am the friend that will stop everything, to pick her up and be there when the doctors tell her more news.

I am the girl that is friends with a girl, whose mother almost died. Not once, not twice, multiple times. I am the friend that has been there, will be there and will not leave her side.

I am the girl that once fell in love with a boy whose mother left him. I am the girl that will always love him, no matter where he is in the world.

I am the girl that is friends with a boy whose mother has passed away. I am the friend that will always ensure that he will be able to show his daughter how the most caring mother still lives on through his actions.

I am the girl that is friends with a girl whose mom has bipolar. I am the friend that will show her that neurodivergence is everywhere and we are all human, trying our best.

I am the girl that is friends with a boy whose mom didn't and still doesn't know she has ADHD. I am the friend that will ensure he knows that she loves him, though she might not have been able to show it through the coping strategies she was taught.

I am the girl who is just like all these mothers. I am the mother that is ensuring her child will be fine, when she is not alive anymore. I am the mother that will ensure that my child knows I will be there and never leave. I am the mother that will always love her children. I am the mother that will live on through my children. I am the mother that knows I am trying my best. I am the mother that knows that it is not always visible.

Today is mothers day.

Make it visible.
